Efface

Terms of service

Last updated: July 2026

1. The service

Efface, operated by Klart AI (Paris, France), sends data removal and erasure requests to data brokers, enrichment tools and sales databases on your behalf, and gives you a dashboard tracking each request. Two plans exist:

2. Your mandate

By ticking the authorization box at signup you grant Efface (operated by Klart AI) a mandate to send data removal and erasure requests to third parties on your behalf, referencing your identity data. We include this mandate in outgoing requests and set your own email address as reply-to so recipients can verify with you directly. You can revoke the mandate at any time by deleting your account.

3. What we do not promise

Our requests rely on rights you hold under the GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA/CPRA. Compliance is performed by the recipient companies, not by us: we cannot guarantee that a given broker deletes your data, nor how fast. Data also reappears — brokers rebuild records from new scrapes and purchased lists. For that reason nothing in the service is a promise of permanent or definitive removal; the subscription exists precisely because removal is a continuous fight.

4. Price, payment, taxes

Payments are processed by Stripe. Displayed prices are in euros and include VAT where applicable. The subscription renews monthly and can be canceled at any time from the dashboard (“Manage subscription”); cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.

5. Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)

You have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases. By purchasing, you expressly request that we begin performing the service immediately. For the one-time sweep, the right of withdrawal lapses once the sweep has been fully performed; if you withdraw before completion, we refund proportionally to what has not yet been performed. For the subscription, you may withdraw within 14 days and receive a refund minus a proportional amount for service already rendered.

6. Your account and data

Sign-in is passwordless via magic links sent to your email. You are responsible for the security of your mailbox. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the dashboard; any active subscription is canceled in the same action.

7. Liability

The service is provided with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising from the service is capped at the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. Disputes go to the competent courts of Paris, France, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. EU consumers may also use the European Commission’s dispute resolution platform.
